(this has been racked) Bright red-ruby. An intrusive wood note currently dominates the nose. Sweet, supple and fairly light on its feet, with gentle, ripe acids framing the complex flavors of raspberry, blueberry, blackberry and minerals. Less black in character than the Vieilles Vignes and less animal. Finer-grained, too.
