Full ruby. Aromas of blackberry and violet. Juicy, intense flavors of black fruits, licorice and violet complemented are by a note of dark chocolate. Still a bit unyielding, owing to its strong acid spine. Finishes with lingering dark berry flavors. This wine showed more even ripeness than the 2008 version I tasted last year but will it ever become pliant?
