The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Dancing Bear Ranch includes 5% Merlot. Scents of pine bark, cedar, cherries and faint herbal notes appear on the nose, while the wine is medium to full-bodied in the mouth, ripe and concentrated, even a touch creamy on the mid-palate, then long and mouthwatering on the finish. Reasonably complex and concentrated, with an appealing texture, this is a relatively charming wine for Howell Mountain, approachable in its youth.

Beautiful aromatics of camphor, new leather, dried herbs, and both red and black fruits give way to a full-bodied Cabernet with integrated oak, perfect balance, and silky tannins. This complex, nuanced, powerful 2019 will benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age and shine for over two decades. Bravo!
