Full red. Cool aromas of black raspberry and licorice. Sweet and lively, with sappy flavors of dark berries, black cherry and spice. This has lovely fruit and a refreshing juicy quality.
The masculine, muscular 2002 Mazy-Chambertin offers aromas of dark fruits, spices, and cherries. Candied dark cherries are intermingled with meaty flavors in its firm, structured character. Sweet and concentrated, its tannic backbone reveals a hint of rusticity. Projected maturity: 2008-2015. Importer: Frederick Wildman & Sons tel (212) 230-0929
Good bright red. Gamey red and black fruit aromas, along with espresso and mineral notes; medicinal in a positive way. Sweet and sappy in the mouth, with lovely acids framing the fruit. Very long and juicy on the back end, with firm tannic spine. More obviously structured and powerful than the Charmes.
