Note di degustazione
A bright, focused wine, the 2009 Pinot Noir Terra Neuma is laced with pine, mint, cloves and dark red fruit. This is another Radio-Coteau wine with plenty of cool-climate character. Juicy and expressive on the mid-palate and finish. The 2009 is all about balance and harmony.

Juicy and expressive on the mid-palate and finish, the 2009 is all about balance and harmony. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2024. This lineup from Radio-Coteau and proprietor Eric Sussman was among the most thrilling I tasted this year. Radio-Coteau practices sustainable farming and hands-off winemaking, which includes native fermentations, minimal rackings and bottling without fining or filtration. What ultimately counts, though, is what is in the bottle, and more often than not, these are compelling wines that deserve serious attention. Among many things, Sussman told me Syrah did better in 2011 than in 2010. Yields were down dramatically, but the fruit that was left was exceptional. Tel. (707) 823-2578
Deep ruby. Riper and darker in character than the Neblina, showing raspberry and redcurrant aromas and notes of smoky herbs and violet. Supple, large-scaled and mouthfilling, with alluring sweetness to its cherry and blackberry flavors. Hints of white pepper and allspice add lift to the finish, which leaves notes of medicinal cherry and blackberry behind. This really deserves patience but looks extremely promising.
