1999 Familia Torres Grans Muralles

(a blend based on monastrell and garnacha) Bright ruby-red. Captivating aromas of dark berries, violet, pepper, tree bark, chicory and cassis leaf. Juicy, firm, floral and penetrating, with intriguing fruit, tobacco and smoky notes and a hint of surmaturite. The flavors are sweet, but this sappy, vinous wine finishes classically dry, with substantial broad tannins.
