Punteggio 92/100 · Da bere 2010-2016, Robert Parker, Feb 2010

The light straw-colored 2007 Chardonnay Allen Vineyard exhibits a gorgeous bouquet of subtle pineapple, white peach, and honey along with terrific minerality, very good acidity, loads of concentration, and a beautiful, fresh, lively finish. Enjoy it over the next 5-6 years. The single vineyard Pinot Noirs are made from a wide range of California vineyards, primarily in the north, with Russian River and Sonoma Coast dominating, but there is also an Anderson Valley site (Ferrington), San Benito site (Vista Verde), and Yorkville Highlands (Weir). The Chardonnays are nearly as powerful as the Zinfandels in terms of alcohol strength, ranging from 14.5% to 14.8%. Tel. (707) 433-6425; Fax (707) 433-6546

Green-gold color. Fresh citrus and apple aromas are complicated by smoky minerals and dried flowers. Broad and fleshy in texture but at the same time lively, offering zesty Meyer lemon and orange flavors and a late note of pear skin. Manages to be both rich and vibrant, with excellent finishing cut and spicy persistence.
