Punteggio 94/100 · Da bere 2018-2025, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Apr 2018

Another highlight in this range, the 2015 Chardonnay Martinelli Road is exuberant and powerful, but also beautifully layered. Dried pear, orchard fruit, chamomile and dried flowers are some of the many nuances that flesh out in the glass. Rich and sumptuous, with tropically leaning overtones that develop over time, the Martinelli Road has a lot to offer in the trademark rich style that is such a signature of these wines.

Punteggio 91/100 · Da bere 2018-2025, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, Apr 2018

The 2015 Chardonnay Martinelli Road gives up notions of fresh grapefruit, lemon meringue pie and spiced apples with nuances of cedar chest, lemongrass and baker's yeast. Medium to full-bodied with a racy line of acid lifting the densely packed citrus layers, it has a pleasant oiliness to the texture and some spices coming through on the long finish. 241 cases produced.

Martinelli

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
