Note di degustazione
The 2015 Syrah Dusty Lane comes from a coastal site near Dierke Vineyard and saw 34% stems and 18 months in 33% new puncheons (there are three puncheons in total). Offering a more Côte Brune style in its crushed rocks, peppery herbs, and assorted darker fruits, this medium-bodied, elegant, vibrant Syrah has good acidity and moderate tannin as well as beautiful balance. Drink it anytime over the coming 10-15 years as well.

Radio-Coteau's 2015 Syrah Dusty Lane is a dense, powerful wine. Tobacco, dried herbs, spice and leather add aromatic nuance to this decidedly potent, brooding wine. The 2015 seems to have firmed up quite a bit since I last tasted it. That is probably a good thing for its long-term longevity, but there is not a whole lot of early appeal here.
The 2015 Syrah Dusty Lane is powerful and rich, as it often is, but it also seems to have maintained quite a bit more freshness, especially next to the 2014 tasted alongside it. Relaxed and expansive, the 2015 wraps around the palate with striking fruit density in all of its dimensions. The Dusty Lane captures the best of the 2015 vintage, specifically an interplay of exuberant fruit and freshness that will provide hugely pleasurable drinking for years.
