Note di degustazione
The medium ruby-colored 2004 Pinot Noir Alberigi is made primarily from Dijon clones. While not as concentrated as the Savoy, it exhibits plenty of sweet strawberry and black cherry fruit, silky tannin, and a heady finish. It should be consumed over the next 3-4 years. Previously recommended: 2003 Pinot Noir La Neblina (88), 2003 Pinot Noir Savoy (87), 2003 Syrah Timbervine (90+), 2003 Zinfandel Von Weidlich (90). Tel. (707) 887-8335; Fax (801) 340-6041

(just the second crop, from vines planted on Vine Hill Road in 2001) Good dark ruby. Subdued, warm aromas of dark raspberry, menthol and minerals. Broad and sweet, with very ripe, smooth flavors of blackberry and black cherry, complemented by chocolatey oak. Hints at a roasted character but finishes with very fine tannins and a positive dryness. The fruit is quite dark in character for Russian River Valley. A bottling to watch.
