Note di degustazione
(15.1% alcohol; includes 2% cabernet franc and 1% petit verdot): Good ruby-red. Expressive aromas of cassis, raspberry, licorice, cedar, chocolate and graphite. Supple and aromatic in the mid-palate, with an enticing crushed fruit character. Finishes tannic and quite firm, with a hint of refreshing bitterness. This should be held for at least a couple years.

The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville is a blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Cabernet Franc aged in 100% new French oak. Its dense purple color is followed by aromas of graphite, creme de cassis and blueberries intermixed with hints of smoky earth and oak. Full-bodied, opulent and impressively endowed, it should drink well for 15+ years. Tel. (707) 963-5472
From a blend of hillside and valley floor fruit, the 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve exhibits an inky/purple color as well as notes of crushed rocks, toasty oak, lead pencil shavings, black currants and cedar. Full-bodied and structured with a velvety style, this full, rich, long 2008 Cabernet will be even better in 2-4 years and last for two decades. Since this winery is located on the Silverado Trail, just north of St. Helena, I have included their two Sonoma Chardonnays along with their Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. The talented French winemaking consultant, Luc Morlet, assists at this estate. Both Chardonnays are beautiful wines. Tel. (707) 963-5472
