Note di degustazione
A Cheval Blanc look-alike, the 2004 Bourriquot (70% Cabernet Franc and 30% Merlot) is an elegant, savory, deep ruby/purple-colored wine revealing spicy, menthol, raspberry, blueberry, and incense notes. Medium to full-bodied with sweet tannin, it is a lovely finesse-styled red that should drink nicely for 10-15 years. Tel. (707) 261-2000

(a 70/30 blend of cabernet franc and merlot) Moderately saturated dark red. Complex, subtle aromas of black raspberry, redcurrant, mocha, brown spices, tobacco, smoke and earth. A step up in definition from the merlot bottlings, with good underlying minerality and spice character contributing brightness and energy. Firm, balanced wine with very good lift. Finishes with building, slightly dry tannins.
(a 70/30 blend of cabernet franc and merlot) Good ruby-red. Explosive nose of black raspberry, blackberry, dark cherry, licorice and tobacco leaf. Lush, sweet and aromatic in the mouth, with a sappy sugar/acid balance and a strong spice character. The tannins arrive late, allowing the juicy fruit to show sneaky persistence. Havens co-fermented some Hyde Vineyard merlot with the cabernet franc. Complex and long.
