Blackberries, fresh herbs and violets on the nose. Mint and olives, too. Full-bodied with delicious, round and juicy fruit and softness. Lightly chewy and pretty now. Delicious now.

Composed of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Merlot, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Bosché Vineyard was aged 27 months in French oak barrels, 68% new. Deep garnet-purple colored, it delivers scents of Black Forest cake, black currant jelly and blueberry pie with hints of dusty soil, dried lavender and unsmoked cigars. Medium to full-bodied, it has a firm, grainy texture and lovely freshness while chock-full of black fruit preserves, finishing long with mineral suggestions. (LPB) 93+

The 2017 Cabernet Bosché is stunning, and also one of the wines of the vintage. Rich, powerful and explosive, the 2017 possesses tremendous depth and pedigree to burn. Blackberry jam, chocolate, graphite, leather, licorice and gravel race out of the glass as this statuesque Cabernet shows off the character of this site. Time in the glass brings out attractive floral notes, more red-toned character to the fruit and broad swaths of tannin that suggest cellaring is essential. The 2017 is a flat out stunner. That's pretty much all there is to it. (AG)

One of the flagship releases from this estate, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Bosche comes from a single vineyard (it's one of the earliest single vineyard releases from Napa) in Rutherford and is close to 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot aged in 67% new French oak for 28 months. Its opaque purple color is followed by a stunning bouquet of red and black currants, crushed violets, dark chocolate, graphite, truffle, and hot gravel-like minerality. Showing the elegance and purity that's the hallmark of the vintage, it’s medium to full-bodied, with beautiful tannins and a seamless, elegant texture.
