The 2015 Faultline Vineyard is a smoking good wine. Based on 39% Cabernet Franc, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 30% Merlot, it offers a powerful, full-bodied, opulent style as well as terrific notes of chocolatey dark fruit, licorice, leafy herbs, and graphite. With an expansive texture, no hard edges, and remarkable purity of fruit, this sexy beast of a wine will keep for 10-15 years. These Bordeaux blends from Alexander Valley are made by superstar consultant Philippe Melka.

Skipstone's 2015 Faultline Vineyard is gorgeous in this vintage. Sweet floral notes, mocha, plum, espresso, game and licorice open up first, followed by hints of dried rose petal and cedar that add further shades of complexity. Above all else, though, the 2015 is a wine of real character and personality.
A blend made up of 39.5% Cabernet Franc, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon and 29.5% Merlot, the 2015 Faultline Vineyard Proprietary Red shows a very deep purple-black color and nose of red and black currants, black cherries and floral notes with some nice smoked meat notions, plus cigar box and bay leaves hints. Medium to full-bodied, firm and lively with fine-grained tannins and great depth, it's very expressive, finishing long with mineral notions. 341 cases were made.
