1986 Far Niente Cabernet Sauvignon Estate

A lean, compact, excessively acidic and tannic wine, with no length or flavor extraction, this 1986 Cabernet is tightly knit and youthful, but it appears to have no place to go. An oenological masterpiece! The tasting notes for this section are from two single blind tastings, one conducted in May, 1996, in California, and the other in June, 1996, in Baltimore.
