Note di degustazione
72% Sauvignon Blanc, 21% Sémillon, 7% Sauvignon Musqué. Fruit sourced from Ryan’s Vineyard in Oak Knoll and Rancho Pequeño in Oakville. Medium lemon in colour. Creamed pear with a swirl of caramel and butterscotch, lemon zest and a dash of vanilla. The palate is weighty and creamy but with elevated acidity. This seems to have hit its stride. More broadness than the other nine vintages shown. (SCJ)

21% Sémillon. Fermented in small neutral containers, including concrete egg. Rather a Musqué nose. Rather rich and glamorous on the palate. Great oak-derived but not oaky texture. Much more opulent than the 2017. Light chewiness and definitely made for ageing but with an admirably zesty streak. (JR)
The 2018 Sauvignon Blanc strides boldly out of the glass with notes of green apples, white peaches and fresh grapefruit plus hints of wild thyme, lemongrass, honeysuckle and musk perfume. Medium-bodied, the palate has a lovely touch of creaminess to the texture with loads of freshness lifting the intense stone fruit and citrus flavors to a long finish.
The 2018 Sauvignon Blanc is a very pretty and expressive wine that captures striking varietal character and textural richness, with pretty tropical overtones from the Sauvignon Musqué clone in the blend. Racy, inviting and flat-out delicious, the 2018 is a real winner. In this vintage, the Sauvignon has a bit more weight and texture while retaining its classic sense of brightness. This is such a gorgeous white.
