Note di degustazione
Accendo's 2022 Sauvignon Blanc combines fruit from the Araujo's home property in Oakville (Rancho Pequeño) with the Ehrlich Vineyard (also in Oakville) and the Juliana Vineyard in Pope Valley. It's 71% Sauvignon Blanc, 19% Sémillon and 10% Sauvignon Musqué, fermented and aged in a combination of new and used French oak barrels, plus some stainless steel drums. Citrus notes are joined by hints of fig and melon on the nose, while the medium to full-bodied palate is creamy in feel, finishing with gentle silky nuances, bright, fresh and long.

Contains 19% Sémillon and 10% Sauvignon Musqué. Whole-cluster pressed, fermented and aged sur lie with weekly bâtonnage in new and used French oak barrels and stainless-steel drums. 543 cases made. Smells of honey, white flowers and green apples. Flavours of lime pith, green apples, lemon oil and a touch of vanilla have a wonderful bright salinity and fantastic acidity. There's a faint chalky quality to the wine that lingers in the finish. Utterly delicious. (AY)
The 2022 Sauvignon Blanc (which is made by Fran oise Peschon) includes a decent splash of Semillon, with the fruit mostly from Oakville. Bright lemon curd, honeyed white flowers, chalky minerality, and just a hint of tropical flowers all define the aromatics, and it's medium-bodied, with a clean, refreshing mouthfeel, good concentration, and a great finish.
