Note di degustazione
The 1993 Olivet Lane Pinot Noir displays an evolved, medium ruby color with garnet and amber at the edge. It offers a fragrant, smoked game, spicy, berry, and herb-scented nose, medium body, good rather than excellent/outstanding concentration, and surprisingly high, tart acidity in the finish. The wine will age well for 3-4 years, but it is not as concentrated or layered as most Williams-Selyem Pinots. The Williams-Selyem winery has long been a reference point for complex, sumptuous Pinot Noir. That being said, I thought the 1993s possessed a degree of herbaceousness and higher acidity than previous releases. As an unabashed fan of this winery's Pinot Noir, I must admit to being uninspired by the 1993s. Tel. (707) 433-6425

Informazioni sul produttore
Williams Selyem is an iconic Russian River Valley winery best known for its Pinot Noir. Producing restrained yet classically Californian expressions of the heartbreak grape (as well as a host of other wines), the property has gone from pioneer to one of the region’s standard-bearers.
