The 2018 Syrah Las Colinas is a powerful, savory wine. In this vintage, the Colina is a real powerhouse. Savory and peppery flavors abound. I am quite honestly surprised to see how reticent the Colinas is. Readers should plan on cellaring it for at least a few years. There is a lot of wine here, and certainly a lot to look forward to.

The 2018 Syrah Las Colinas is a such a gorgeous and compelling wine. The cool late-ripening season really brings out the peppery spicy quality of Syrah. Red-toned fruit, wild flowers, mint and a dollop of whole cluster savoriness from the 16% whole clusters all add striking shades of nuance. There is a feeling of translucence I find incredibly enticing.
