Note di degustazione
The 2013 Sauvignon Blanc Vineyard 29 Estate comes from their hillside vineyard and is 100% Sauvignon Blanc fermented in 100% new French oak, where it is aged for 20 months prior to bottling. There is no malolactic, and the wine, which has a light greenish hue to its straw color, is elegant with notes of mango, citrus oil, caramelized grapefruit, backed up by crisp acids, medium body, a layered and texturally alluring mouthfeel, and a long, zesty finish. This is a brilliant wine, with the oak pushed way to the background, which is interesting given the high percentage used.

Vineyard 29's 2013 Sauvignon Blanc 29 Estate comes across as a bit compact today, perhaps because of its recent bottling. Candied lemon, white flower, spices and mint all develop in the glass, followed by more tropically-leaning overtones. Ideally, I would like to see a bit more flesh for this style, especially through the middle. Hopefully that will develop in bottle.
