The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Blueprint, which comes from six vineyards in Napa Valley and is a blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot. The largest production cuvée at more than 3,200 cases, the wine is a beautiful dense ruby/purple, with ripe, blackcurrant fruit and licorice, a subtle hint of oak, silky tannin, full-bodied opulence, and very approachable and delicious, forward fruit. It should drink beautifully for 10-15 years and possibly last longer.

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Blueprint is one of the best versions of this Cabernet Sauvignon I have tasted. A rich, sumptuous wine, the 2013 possesses tremendous intensity. Mocha, torrefaction, smoke, new leather and dark-fleshed fruit, the 2013 captures a great balance of intensity, opulence and freshness, especially for such a big wine. Full-throttle to the core, the 2013 should drink well with minimal cellaring. Once again, Lail's Blueprint is a fabulous value.
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Blueprint is shaping to be a real beauty. All of the intense, dark flavors typical of the Blueprint are there, but the 2013 has an extra kick of energy, intensity and tannin that keeps the flavors vibrant. This is a beautifully and nicely balanced, opulent Cabernet Sauvignon from Robin Lail.
