(40% syrah, with equal parts cabernet sauvignon, merlot and petit verdot) Bright ruby-red. Slightly high-toned aromas of crushed blackberry, violet, tar and spices. Juicy, intense and bright, with black fruit, tar and bitter chocolate flavors nicely framed by fresh acids. At once chewy and juicy, with good density and cut. Cool suggestion of medicinal licorice. Finishes with torrefaction notes of tar and oak char.
