2015 Alexander Valley Vineyards Cyrus

The 2015 Cyrus is a blend of 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, 5% Malbec and 2% Petit Verdot with a medium ruby color and rustic scents of tar, earth, chargrill, leather and strong oaky notes of vanilla bean and cedar. The palate is full-bodied, and although the tannins have softened from time in bottle, the fruit is somewhat tart. It finishes with a heavy oak flavor. 2,729 cases produced.
