2014 Fairchild Cabernet Sauvignon George III

The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon G-III comes from a vineyard that was often the backbone of the great Beaulieu Private Reserves of the 1950s and 1960s. It is now owned by Andy Beckstoffer and is undoubtedly a first growth-quality site. This wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from clones 337 and 7, and offers fabulous intensity. Inky purple, with notes of blackberry, blueberry, violets, charcoal and forest floor, it is deep and full-bodied, but has the vintage’s endearing sweetness, tannin and suppleness. Drink it over the next 20+ years.
