2015 Wines Chardonnay VGW

The 2015 Chardonnay VGW is the first Chardonnay made by 00 Wines. Proprietors Kathryn and Christopher Hermann recall that 2015 was one of the first really hot summers in Oregon, and grapes were picked very early on August 31st. It's still youthful on the nose, offering scents of baked apples and quince with undertones of herbs, spice and matchstick. The palate is silky with expansive, savory flavors—hints of mushroom and umami are just beginning to bloom—and focused freshness. It has a long, textural finish and plenty of life ahead in bottle.
