The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is an attractive, racy wine with plush fruit, soft contours and tons of sheer immediacy. Sweet red berry fruit, floral notes, spice and mint are all nicely lifted in this enticing, mid-weight Cabernet Sauvignon from Staglin. The 2017 offers lovely freshness and aromatic presence in a medium-bodied Cabernet that can be enjoyed with minimal cellaring.

Tasted from a core blend, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is promising. Medium in body, gracious and delicate, the 2017 is a surprisingly understated wine with lovely fruit purity, soft tannins and fine overall balance. The core blend represents only a portion of the total potential production, so I will not be surprised if the finished wine is even better. The future certainly looks bright.
