Odette's 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate boasts gorgeous aromas of ripe cherries alongside hints of vanilla and stone fruit. Full-bodied, it's silky, ripe and generous in the mouth, with a long, mouthwatering finish. Really harmonious and elegant, it's classic Stags Leap District, despite the torrid early September heat.

Sweet cassis, blue fruits, violets, flowery incense, pencil lead, and spicy, leather-like notes define the classic 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon from Odette, a blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, and 3% Malbec that spent 20 months in 65% new French oak. Sporting a healthy ruby/purple hue, this medium-bodied, floral, exotic 2022 has the perfumed, upfront style of the vintage, solid tannins, and good overall balance. While coming from a challenging, heatwave vintage, this nevertheless holds onto a good sense of purity, has plenty of fruit and texture, and is ideal for drinking over the coming decade or so.
The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is a racy, opulent wine. Super-ripe black cherry, crème de cassis, chocolate, spice, lavender and licorice add to an impression of flamboyance in this mid-weight Cabernet. Juicy and supple, with plenty of near-term appeal, the 2022 will drink well on release.
