Note di degustazione
Sporting a black label as opposed to the burnished gold labels of the other cuvées, the 2012 Pinot Noir Estate Donum 1870's deep ruby/plum/purple color is accompanied by sweet notes of cranberries, mulberries and black cherries, forest floor and earth. It reveals a nice structural profile as well as moderate tannin. Like the East Slope offering, it is one of the more backward wines in this portfolio. However, it is loaded and promising with tremendous upside, so don’t lose patience. Give it another 12-18 months of bottle age and drink it over the next decade.
