Medium ruby. Musky aromas of blackberry, smoke, wet stone, tobacco and brown spices. Very sweet but quite suave and gripping; this really coats and fills the mouth. Less flashy than some of the other Pax 2002s but more complex and complete. The big, lush tannins spread out to cover the entire mouth. Contains a high percentage of very young vines.
