Note di degustazione
The 2017 Pinot Noir Swan Terrace comes from eastern-facing, terraced vines in the Alpine vineyard. Pale to medium ruby, it offers loads of red fruits—Bing cherries, raspberries and cranberries—with blackberries, potpourri, dried herbs, peppercorn and woodsmoke. It's earthy in the mouth and light to medium in weight, with firm, grainy tannins and woven freshness, finishing spicy. This will benefit from another couple years in bottle.

A strikingly floral red Pinot fruit nose is expressive, elegant, high-toned and equally pure. The ultra-sleek and tension-filled middle weight flavors possess a chiseled texture and an even more sophisticated mid-palate mouthfeel, all wrapped in a long, youthfully austere and well-balanced finale. This too is going to require extended cellaring but it's not so backward to prevent its being enjoyed after a few years of bottle age. Lovely stuff. *Outstanding*
The 2017 Pinot Noir Swan Terrace is one of the most intriguing wines in this range. Intensely aromatic overtones, with touches of blood orange and racy red berry fruit infuse the 2017 with an exotic quality that is hard to fully describe with words. The 100% whole clusters work so well in bringing out the wine's myriad layers. A few years in bottle will help the tannins soften. This is such a beguiling, alluring wine.
