The 2022 Pinot Noir Sonoma County, matured in 25% new oak for 11 months, is scented of cranberry sauce and red cherries with accents of blood orange and autumn leaves. The medium-bodied palate is silky with a soft core of red fruit and an earth-laced finish. Drink it over the next 3-5 years. 1,095 cases produced.

Punteggio 93/100 · Da bere 2024-2031, Jeb Dunnuck, Jun 2024

A youthful ruby color, the 2022 Pinot Noir Sonoma County boasts a lot of elegance and is lovely on the nose, with aromas of black raspberries, fresh herbs, and violets. Elegant and approachable, it has a red-fruited, elegant feel, with a hint of spice from the whole clusters incorporated in the fermentation. It’s approachable now but will have the longevity to drink over the next 5-7 years. These are the spring releases from Williams-Selyem and were tasted with Vice President and Director of Winemaking Jeff Mangahas at the estate in the Russian River Valley.
