The 2017 Chardonnay Trout Gulch Vineyard from Ceritas has a fragrant nose with apple tart, crushed stone and peppermint, lively and vibrant, just like the palate that is very open and ready for business. Tensile from the start, I adore the acidity here, and there are enticing touches of peach skin and saffron towards the prolonged finish. Superb. Tasted at the "Judgement of Clapham Junction" dinner in London.
