Last but not least in this tasting with John Raytek, the 2022 Occidental Vineyard is also coming from the West Sonoma Coast and offers a complete feel out of the gate. It’s layered and finessed, boasting notes of delicate cologne and pure cherries, framboise, wildflower, and spicy sandalwood. Long on the palate, with an outstanding, seamless texture, refined tannins, pure concentration, and a long-lasting finish, it offers exceptional purity and is going to be one to snatch up for the cellar and drink over the next 20 years.

Created in 2005 by John Raytek, Ceritas is one of California’s most exciting producers. The project is focused on making single-site wines from Northern California’s coastal regions, largely Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
