The 2014 The Bedrock Heritage Wine is one of the biggest, richest wines in this range. Deep, pungent and wonderfully expressive, the 2014 exudes concentration and pure pedigree. Readers will have to be patient, as the 2014 is very young and undeveloped, but its potential can't be underestimated. This is a fabulous wine in the making.

The 2014 Proprietary Red Bedrock Heritage Proprietary Red is not yet in bottle and was scheduled to be bottled a month or so after I tasted with Twain-Peterson. The wine looks killer. Twenty-four inter-planted varieties (all put in the ground between 1888 and 1895), dominated by 55% Zinfandel and 30% Carignane, have produced this Mediterranean, full-throttle, pedal-to-the-metal, dark ruby/purple wine. Loads of grilled meat, steak tartare, Provençal herbs, lavender, blackberry, cassis and sweet cherries are all present in this lovely, full-bodied, voluptuously textured, big fruit bomb from Twain-Peterson. It’s a beauty, and best drunk over the next 5-8 years.
