Coming from Calistoga and 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Block 3 offers a classic Cabernet Sauvignon nose of blue fruits, white flowers, classy oak, tobacco, and assorted spices. Full-bodied, rich, and beautifully textured, it has polished tannins, a great mid-palate, and a touch of salinity on the finish. This ripe, pure, balanced, quintessential Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon will evolve for two decades.

A barrel sample of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Block 3 is deep garnet-purple in color and a little mute to start, offering glimpses at warm black cherries, cassis and preserved plums scents with hints of chocolate box, cedar chest, tobacco leaf and iron ore plus a waft of bouquet garni. The palate is full-bodied, concentrated and packed with bold black fruit and fantastic tension, framed by firm, ripe, grainy tannins, finishing long and multilayered.
