The 2019 Chardonnay Porter-Bass is one of the highlights in this range. Bright, airy and effusive, the 2019 is wonderfully deep and layered, but not at all heavy. All of the blocks are on the north-facing side of the property, which, among other things, pushes harvest back by about two weeks relative to the south-facing portions. Hints of dried lemon peel, mint, chamomile and dried flowers open effortlessly. Power and intensity are conveyed in an understated fashion in this very pretty Chardonnay. Sweet floral notes linger.
