Note di degustazione
(nearly half of this wine is from estate fruit; 40% new oak) Good deep red-ruby. Cool aromas of blackberry, plum, violet and spices. Tightly wound and lively in the mouth, with berry flavors complicated by dark chocolate, espresso and spicy oak. Offers good inner-mouth energy. Finishes with serious, oak-driven tannins that call for a few years of patience.

Good bright ruby-red. Strawberry, blackberry, plum, lead pencil, dark chocolate and a rose petal note on the nose. Then juicy and tight in the mouth, distinctly less sweet today than the Central Coast bottling. High-pitched flavors of dark berries and violet. Finishes with more apparent tannins. This was bottled more recently.
