The 2021 Pinot Noir Westside Road Neighbors is tremendously perfumed and layered this vintage. Matured in 63% new oak for 15 months, it takes significant time in the glass to unfurl its wild berry fruit, then gains in intensity, offering streaks of blood orange, tobacco, licorice and hibiscus. The palate is seamless and velvety, packed to the brim with floral flavors, and its energetic acidity and arresting expression call you back to the glass again and again. (EB)

Lots of blue fruits and raspberries with some green strawberry and floral undertones. Honeysuckle, too. Full-bodied with firm and tight tannins. Linear and structured. Cooler, tighter. Needs time to soften.

Bright ruby. Ripe cherry and black raspberry aromas are complemented by notes of anise and smoky Indian spices. Broad and concentrated, with more power than the Westside Road Neighbors bottling, offering sweet red and dark berry flavors, a velvety texture and a touch of bitter chocolate. Becomes spicier on the finish, which is firmed by fine-grained tannins. (JR)

Bright ruby-red. Pungent aromas of black raspberry, cherry and fresh rose, with a smoky quality building in the glass. Pliant, sweet and complex, offering potent flavors of bitter cherry, blackberry, floral pastilles and cola. Rich and concentrated but lively, closing with strong punch and fine-grained firming tannins. Quite rich for a 2011, but also shows the vivacity that marks the vintage's best wines.
