The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Cyrus Ryan offers good immediacy, but it doesn’t seem to have either the textural finesse of the Old Estate Vines or the inner juiciness of the Rattlesnake. I would prefer to drink it over the next handful of years, before the tannins start to dominate the wine's balance. The ripeness of the vintage is evident in the wine's distinctly ripe feel.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Cyrus Ryan has a nose of baked black plums and blackberries with hints of damp earth, dried herbs and fruitcake. The palate is full, rich and raisiny with lively acid and chewy, approachable tannins, finishing with an herbal lift.
