Light straw-yellow. Pure, oily aromas of tangerine and orange peel. A rich, supple fruit bomb with modest complexity but very good depth and a fine-grained texture to its soft citrus and toast flavors (Javillier used some one-year-old barrels for this wine but no new oak). Finishes with a leesy complexity and good sweetness countered by fresh acidity.

Bottled. Somehow meaty and interesting on the nose. Even if on the palate for the moment its superiority over Oligocène is not that apparent. Just a little subdued. (JR)
The 2013 Meursault les Clousots has a more reticent bouquet compared to Javillier's other crus – a little timid at the moment. The palate is balanced, but it is just missing that extra level of complexity compared to say, the Tillets. Perhaps a case of fluffing its lines on the day?
(just seven barrels made owing to the poor flowering): Bright, light medium yellow. Showy, soil-inflected nose melds underripe peach and nectarine, pepper and hazelnut, complicated by almost metallic minerality. Dense, chewy and sweet; less harmonious today than the Tillets but more tactile and saline. Finishes concentrated and long, with excellent acidity and salty and smoky traces.
