The 2012 Alto Adige Valle Isarco Müller Thurgau Sass Rigais straddles a thin line between floral exaggeration and aromatic elegance. The intensity here is grand, but not over-the-top. Rosebud and honeysuckle meet passion fruit and crushed mineral. There’s a very distinct note of rosemary oil or saliva that adds a touch of menthol freshness.

Nössing's 2012 Müller Thurgau is a decisive, intense wine, with plenty of saline minerality buffering the bright citrus and floral notes. Lime, pear, jasmine and slate inform the powerful, intense finish. Here, too the balance of fruit and acidity is superb.
