2001 Chambolle Musigny Derriere la Grange

Bright, deep red. Black fruits, nutty oak and a meaty element on the nose; a bit more roasted and less lively than some of the foregoing samples. Fat, silky and very ripe but with only moderate depth. Offers impressive texture, but today the wine's tannins cut off its fruit.
