Note di degustazione
Disgorged in December 2018, the 2007 Brut Blanc de Noirs Grand Cru Empreinte Noire unwinds in the glass with complex and gently oxidative aromas of citrus oil, crisp yellow orchard fruit, toasted nuts, nougat and cognac. Full-bodied, vinous and powerful, it's concentrated and incisive, with a dense core of fruit, serious structure dry extract, and a racy spine of acidity, concluding with a penetrating, tangy finish. The 2007 is complex and richly patinated by its élevage, but simultaneously tightly coiled and even a touch structurally austere; so it will be interesting to see how it develops with additional age on cork.

To be released late June 2019. Dosage 2.5 g/l. All in oak. Very powerful. Creamy, butter icing on the nose. Heady without much sweetness. A strong impression to be sure. (JR)
