The 2020 All Blocks Red Wine is mostly Grenache and reveals a healthy ruby hue as well as juicy red and blue fruits, dried flowers, and herbes de Provence notes. It's a sweetly fruit, medium to full-bodied, fruit-forward effort to drink over the coming 7-8 years or so. This was another brilliant lineup of wines from Joey Tensley. Looking at the 2020s reviewed here, these share plenty of similarities with his 2018s, and maybe the 2019s, and are rich, powerful wines that show the warmer style of the vintage. The 2021s on the other hand, clearly come from a cooler year and show more medium-bodied, fresher styles. Nevertheless, these are still classic Tensley wines that bring plenty of texture and opulence. In addition, Tensley has launched a new P2KV lineup of wines with a focus on old, pre-2000 vines in Santa Barbara County.

The 2020 Red Wine All Blocks, Tensley's Grenache-based blend, is absolutely delicious. Crushed flowers, spice and bright red-toned fruit are pushed forward. There's terrific purity of fruit and fine balance, along with a bit less tannic heft than in the past. That is not a bad thing at all.
The Grenache-based 2020 All Blocks has a pale ruby-purple color and very pretty scents of wild berry preserves, dried flowers, orange peel, licorice and earth. The medium-bodied palate is rounded, juicy and alluring with loads of floral accents and a long, layered finish.
The 2020 Red Wine All Blocks is a bright, punchy wine. Sweet red berry fruit, spice and floral notes are kicked up in this tasty, mid-weight blend from Tensley.
