Made by Genevieve and Luc Janssens, the 2018 Red Wine reveals a saturated purple hue to go with a dense, decadently concentrated style in its blackcurrants, roasted herbs, lead pencil shaving, and chocolaty aromas and flavors. It has classic 2018 structure, full body, ripe, building tannins, and a great finish. This powerful, gorgeous, balanced 2018 will evolve for two decades.

Portfolio is the private project of Geneviève Janssens (Robert Mondavi Winery) and her husband, Luc Janssens. Blending Cabernet Sauvignon from Hendry Ranch (81%) and Cabernet Franc from Detert East (19%), with extended aging in 100% new French oak, the 2018 Limited Edition Red Wine yields scents of mocha, cedar, dark chocolate, menthol, black cherries and dark plums. Weighing in at 15.5% alcohol, this is full-bodied and framed by silky tannins, but it's also a bit woody, with a hint of dried fruit.
