Medium red. Red raspberry, minerals and spices on the nose. Juicy and firm-edged, with red berry and spice flavors offering good palate coverage. A lively, slightly peppery wine that finishes with rather light tannins. This calls for a few years of patience. Interestingly, Jeremy Seysses described the family's 2004s as fresher versions of the 1997s. The slight greenness in the '97s has already begun to morph into a floral character, he added.

Deep medium red. Riper, deeper nose hints at underbrush. Sweeter and lusher in the mouth than the other two village wines under this label, but with typical Chambolle minerality and an attractive sugar/acid balance. Also less dry on the finish, and nicely persistent.
Rich and dense. Seems much purer than the Morey. Very brisk fruit – quite tart. Younger vines? But very competent and great value. Rather hard finish. (JR)
