Full, dark red. Deep aromas of black raspberry, crushed stone, licorice, minerals and spices, along with a whiff of meat. Densely packed, saline and concentrated, with a restrained sweetness contributing to an overall impression of finesse. This wine is hiding more than it's showing today; from barrel in the fall of 2014 it showed explosive floral and spicy high notes but today it appears to be in a sullen phase.

The 2013 Chambolle Musigny Hauts Doix 1er Cru has a burly, slightly coarse nose with brambly black and red fruit with hints of smoke coming through. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannin, quite strict in the mouth and just cutting off a little abruptly on the finish. To be honest, I think that Mounir will produce better wines in this vintage.
Full, deep red. Very pure, vibrant aromas of black raspberry, crème de cassis , crushed rock and smoky minerals; smells like Musigny. Smooth and fresh on entry, then deep and weighty in the middle, communicating an almost jammy quality to its urgent dark fruit flavors. With its serious dry extract, this premier cru has plenty of material in reserve. Tannins are thoroughly buffered on the long back end.
