Dark ruby. Smoked meat and beefsteak tomato on the nose. Thick in the mouth but with strong, integrated acidity giving energy to the wine. Distinctly Old World in style, with primary fruit flavors emerging only after extended aeration. Finishes with a note of celery seed.
