Tart citrus, caramelized lime, mint, and sappy herb notes all emerge from the 2018 Chardonnay Old Guard, another concentrated, racy wine that needs bottle age. I love its balance, and it's a beautiful wine, but do your best to hide bottles for 3-4 years.

The 2018 Chardonnay Old Guard is bright and tightly wound, as this wine tends to be. Crushed rocks, minerals, citrus peel, white flowers and apple all add to the its sculpted, personality. Readers who like taut Chardonnays will adore the Old Guard.
