Note di degustazione
The 2015 Marsannay Champs Saint Etienne, from a lieu-dit planted contemporaneously with the Clos de Bèze, reveals aromas of raspberry, strawberry and sweet licorice. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, with a generous core of juicy fruit and fine-grained, chalky tannins. A delicious Marsannay.

Full medium red with ruby tones. Coolish scents of blueberry, blackberry, licorice and menthol. Then a bit medicinal and clenched in the middle palate, and less expansive than the other Marsannay lieux-dits in 2015, even if the black fruit and violet flavors show excellent intensity. Finishes with a firm tannic spine. This wine will merit a 90-point rating if it gains sweetness with some time in bottle.
Bright ruby-red. Crushed cherry, cassis, blackberry, licorice and minerals on the nose; very black and very fresh. Dense, penetrating black fruit flavors boast the depth of 2015 without any roasted character or hardness. Not hugely long today but its opulent fruit will give this wine outstanding drinkability.
